Intellectual Property Rights:
According to Chinese Protection law of Intellectual Property rights scientific research achievements gained by international students studying and practicing in IMR are belong to IMR principally. They have to apply to IMR for permission before they try to use or transfer them”.

Thesis Proposal (2 credits) |
Students are required to write a thesis proposal report, introducing the purpose of research work. Emphasis on the innovation and the significance of research work. Upload the required documents on USTC system. |

Mid-term evaluation (2 credits) |
Students are required to write a mid-term report, introducing the progress made on the thesis, the findings in the research so far, main difficulties they are facing and how to cope with them, work plan for the following research, and the expected date of finishing thesis. |
On the 5thsemester |

Academic Reports and Activities (1 credits) |
Each PhD candidates is required to deliver at least 4 academic reports, and attend at least 10 academic seminars. Students are Participate in academic activities at least 10 times. 4 times academic reports is also required including once nationally. |

Publications |
Publish at least two papers on the journals which belong to SCI or core EI. One of them must publish on SCI-II journals. Publish at least one paper on SCI-I journals. Publish at least three papers on the journals which belong to SCI or core EI. Two of them must publish on SCI journals. |

Report the whole-year research work and be evaluated by the review committee. Each end of the academic year.
